  • The Expo site covers Shinhang district, Sujeong-dong and a part of Deokchung-dong in Yeosu, Korea. Situated in the center of the southern coast of the Korean peninsula, Yeosu is where land civilization meets marine culture. Blessed with rich marine resources, the city is not only characterized by wetlands, national marine parks and the archipelago, but also houses maritime facilities and industrial complexes. Yeosu is strategically located at the heart of the Northeast Asian regional exchange, and is the gateway to the Pacific Rim.

Roads leading to Yeosu will be dramatically improved!
  • Transportation networks including land, railways and ports are to be expanded to shorten travelling time to Yeosu from metropolitan cities to three hours, two hours from Busan, and an hour and half from Mokpo.
  • All paths leading to the Expo site will be linked by green transportation namely, shuttle buses, bicycles and walking paths.
